Updated Information
Together with Petr Zeman, Chair of the Committee on Territorial Development, we considered two proposals for amendments to the city centre’s urban planning in the Florenc area. The Committee recommended the proposals for approval under certain conditions. One of those conditions is the International Urban Design Competition launched by private investors with the cooperation of the city.
We have a great opportunity to show that urban planning is a joint process and that the agreement of all local stakeholders is needed for a positive outcome. The investors have selected the ONplan lab planning office to administer the competition and preparations. The actual assignment was made by cooperation between consultant groups from various areas: from representatives of municipal districts, municipal departments and companies, IPR Praha, the Railway Infrastructure Administration, to the public and many others.
Five teams have been selected from a total of 57 applicants from Europe, Asia and North America to compete in two phases of the competition.
We will continue to work closely with all our colleagues from the Prague City Hall, investors and the planning office in order to reach an outcome at the turn of this year and move forward with the development of this inner-city brownfield.
You can find more information about the project on the websites campuj.online or Florenc 21.
